You guys are welcome for Chris Kelly, he's freaking great at his roll and was one of my favourites when he was with the Sens, also the only reason I watch the B's

Also, Kelly is a vital cog in the Bruins offensive/defensive system.

I dunno why but I don't really care about Chara, its not because I don't like him or anything, but to me he seems like a Bruin, I'll always think of Kelly as a Senator

Nah, and PC's done negotiating until after the season. Have a feeling Kelly walks as a FA just based on his stock. Bruins don't wanna pay 3-4M for a third line center with money tied to both Bergeron/Krejci.

That Kessel trade will ensure the Bruins remain a contender for years to come. Usually a team that is near the top of the standings has an inevitable drop off as the pipeline of young players are all later draft picks and not impact players.

But thanks to the Leafs you guys are a top team but still have premium young guys like Seguin and Hamilton being added to the lineup. This will prevent a drop off and keep the Bruins Cup contenders.

...and with what they payed Peverley, they sort of set their own market I guess....

Yep. I'd love to see Kelly back. But my guess is they're probably comfortable sliding Pevs to C on that 3rd line and back-filling with Youth (Knight/Spooner/Caron) or cheaper UFA options if it gets too expensive.

Thanks for the 12 points, Knight, Hamilton and Seguin. Thanks for screaming you got the better of the trade and now having rumblings of trading Kessel(you can send him back for Corvo I think Burkie will take that one in the can too). Speaking of which, thanks for your over rated GM who loves getting bent over a barrel. Lastly all of you Toronto fans for being the ultimate trolls and unlovable losers.

See ya next season. Good luck on the golf course!

Likely to start in the AHL, but they're really high on him. He could by all means steal a spot on the big league roster if he progresses as much as he has thus far. Does everything Julien and Chiarelli want out of a player, has gotten bigger every time he's in Boston. Great work ethic, got to know more about him when I met his dad last fall.

I agree with this wholeheartedly. I love Kelly and what he brings to the table, and I think PC would bring him back at the right price. That said, Kelly has played so well in his third line role that he may have priced himself out of the Bruins long-term plans. He picked a heckuva time for a career season in terms of goals.

With Krejci and Berg occupying the top 2 center spots for the foreseeable future, I doubt they want to commit 3 or 4 million to Kelly to man the third line pivot, especially with a versatile player like Peverly on the roster. Also, let's not forget that Seguin's natural position is center. If the Bruins have any designs on moving him back in the near future, that is even less reason to resign Kelly.

My bet is they make Kelly a fair offer but let him walk for bigger money, if he gets it, which he will. They have enough in the pipeline with Knight and Spooner that they can call up, or, more likely, PC will go out and get a Kelly-like player via trade or second tier free agent. Some guys I think fit that bill: Dom Moore (via free agency) or Matt Cullen (via trade, though he is scheduled to make 3.5 next year so probably less likely).

With PC locking up 5 of his top 6 d-men it sure looks to me like he is expecting Hamilton to make a contribution to the big club sooner rather than later.

At the very least I think we expect to see Hamilton by the 2013-2014 season (the season after next). If PC intends to fill the sixth d spot for next year via free agency, unless he gets someone on a 1 year deal that would mean they are looking at Hamilton as a replacement for Ference after 2013-2014. Seems more likely that they'd want to break in Hamilton next year and then decide whether they need to retain Ference.

Now.

At the time there was way more support for Redden than Chara... It's funny how people forget..

I think you see Hamilton here next year. He's absolutely crushing the OHL right now, what more can he learn by averaging nearly two points a game as a defensemen? I think they'll at least give him the nine-game trial run next year. But I mean, they signed him to an entry-level deal earlier this year, so clearly they're impressed with his progression already.

As good as he showed, he didn't look NHL ready in the WJC. Hopefully he has a great summer and comes to camp ready. It really is too bad, he's a text book tweener, really nothing to benefit from staying in the O, probably not entirely ready for the bigs, not allowed to go to the A.

I agree, Dougie is looking sick. I think you see him and Z as a pairing next season.

But most of.... THERE'S THE BIG BAD BRUINS WE'VE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR, EH?!!

Just need to stay consistent

To be fair, Chiarelli got fleeced for Kaberle.

Then again, we won the Cup!

I get what you're saying but, when have TOR fans ever treated us fairly? They'll crap on us and any other team given the chance. Remeber they're the center of Hockey Universe. I am just getting my kicks in now. It will not last forever.
